Arizona 2013

For the last five days we were in Arizona visiting our Grandpa. We greatly enjoyed seeing him again and Justus, Macy and I really loved all the history talks that we had :)

Of course what would be a trip without a breakdown? This was in Pasadena and the Lord provided people and places at the right time to get us on the road again. Come ask one of us about it sometime - incredible story!

As we sat on the lawn of the guy who helped us, in 100+ degree heat, some of my time was spent taking pictures of this truck and the siblings below.

Arizona - the land of the scorching sun.

Had to stop at this restaurant, one of our family's favorites :-)

We went to San Clemente on the way home to cool off!
If you zoom in, you'll see a guy jumping off the pier. This was a junior lifeguard class and I suspect that most of the kids did it just to jump off the pier....but I could be wrong :-D

This was a little remote-controlled surfer that we had a lot of fun watching.

Outside the hotel room.

At the Corner Bakery Cafe. Lovely little place.

What trip would be complete without frozen yogurt? This put some cold into our system before we hit the road for home.

Mid pleasures and palaces though we may roam,
Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home;
A charm from the sky seems to hallow us there,
Which seek through the world, is ne'er met with elsewhere.
Home, home, sweet, sweet home!
There's no place like home, oh, there's no place like home!
